Houston Race Organizers and Volunteers ROCK!

I didn't realize how spoiled I was before. Houston knows how to organize races. Houston also knows how to feed the runners. Recovery food at the Chicago Marathon consisted of, banana, apple, fig newtons, bagels and bottled water. That was it!

So here it is:

THANK YOU HOUSTON RACE ORGANIZERS AND VOLUNTEERS. YOU GUYS ARE TRULY THE BEST.

For the record, there were several water stations that ran out of cups during the 1999 Houston Marathon. Like the Chicago race, it was unseasonably warm--I think it was 80 when I finished--and sunny and very humid. I didn't lack for water, but I know that many in the back of the pack did. So it isn't just Chicago--it could happen anywhere...

Amen to that...Houston rocks! Plus, we get the shelter of the GRB before and after the race.
