Running after a heavy meal

I ate well last night. We had a nice spaghetti dinner (which I cooked, heh heh). The garlic bread was divine. I think I ended up eating about half a loaf. Nice and toasted with just too much butter but ohhhh was it good. So try to run with that the next morning. I only ran a short 5K but felt like I ran a 10K. I felt heavy and cumbersome all through the run. It was just not fun, I couldn't even manage to hit the splits at the correct spots.

So now I am looking forward to seeing Bill Dwyer and a few of my blogging friends at the RTW 5K on Saturday. It should be a lot of fun, hopefully, we'll break 100 runners.
